Cody left for the National Guard and the first letter was great. The second, third and fourth letter, not so much. He was very depressed and lonely and really wanted to come home. Jeff actually talked to him last week and then we received a letter and he is doing much better. I am so glad. I am so proud of him. We will see him on August 25 & 26th for his graduation from Basic Training. I can't wait to see him.
Jeff, my niece Mehgan and I went to Florida to see Amber, my other niece and her new baby. Adiaja is just beautiful. She look just like her mom. I wish she lived closer because it would be great to really be part of her and Amber's life. We had such a great time just getting there, visiting and laughing with Mehgan. We had fun and I hope we can do it again soon. Amber looked absolutely gorgeous and is a fantastic mom.
I haven't seen my favorite nephew Alton in over a month. I really need to go see him more often, but it is so hard to get over there to see him. I miss him too. He's not even going to know who I am.
I finished school for the summer II session and am looking forward to the Fall Semester. I am taking 2 classes in the fall. I'm excited to keep moving forward...
