Hello to all my friends and family,

You know I don't just send out any letters but this is an organization that is very dear to my heart. As I'm sure most of you are aware, I was a victim of dating and domestic violence at a very young age. My family was "normal", but that doesn't matter. Domestic and dating violence knows no "class" system, racial bias, or age bias.

Dating violence harms one out of every three teens in the United States.

I think that number is unacceptable, so I have joined Break the Cycle, a national nonprofit organization that works with youth, and I am teaming with them to end dating violence, as part of their Brick Campaign. I have pledged to raise $1,500.00.

You Can Help! Young people need a safe space to ask questions, get expert advice, share stories and learn how to become activists against domestic violence. Help Break the Cycle provide those resources – buy a brick, build thesafespace.org.

Thesafespace.org is part MySpace and part WebMD. It’s a virtual environment with all the information young people need to prevent, diagnose and escape unhealthy relationships.

Buy a Brick! Contribute to this important effort by buying a virtual brick. Your brick is customizable and carries a personal message of positivity, support and hope. Break the Cycle will unveil the bricks on July 20th, with a special section for everyone who donated in support of me.
