Last year at Christmas time I lost my tennis bracelet. The tennis bracelet was the 1st piece of jewelry that I ever received from Jeff. So for Valentine's Day, Jeff bought me another bracelet. It was, how should I say this?, not very pretty. He proceeds to tell me that it isn't "real", that way if I lose it, it won't be a big deal. OK? So we were walking around the mall and I stopped in Kay's Jewelry, got my rings cleaned and as we were talking, they said I could trade in my old jewelry on something new. I decided against Kay's Jewelry and went to Robson's in Baytown. I had a beautiful ring picked out. The salesman brought out this other ring and Jeff really liked it. So in March, I put my new "wedding" ring in layaway, originally to be picked up in July.
Around May, Jeff and I are eating dinner and he says, "You know you can't wear that ring until December." My response was "EXCUSE ME?", I don't remember agreeing to that. LOL. His reasoning was that since it was for my anniversary, I couldn't wear it until our anniversary in December. He continued to say how his ring was special and so I suggested that we renew our wedding vows, he could give me this ring and then it would be special too. He agreed and so it began our quest for the perfect trip to renew our vows....To Be Continued!!!
